Who I am

My name is María and I was born in Spain on a warm March Saturday back in 1986. I’ve always been interested in arts and, as a child, I won many drawing contests, but my real vocation was to become a journalist.

While I was in college I got in touch with graphic and Web design through many subjects like multimedia editing or graphic communication. All this turned out to be really interesting for me, so I began reading books and following tutorials over the Internet and, after some time, I submerged myself into the bright and colorful world of design.

I’ve always had an eager mind, for which reason I usually do lots of different things like playing guitar, writing, composing music, taking pictures… I also love technology and that’s why I started studying micro computing and computer networking while I was finishing my studies in communication.

What else? I have a cat, a dog and a canary bird (yep, I have my own zoo, if you want tickets e-mail me).

What I do

I work on developing Web sites and designing graphics, illustrations, corporate identity and print stuff for a range of purposes from personal to commercial. I’m a little bit perfectionist, so I enjoy working hard and experimenting to create unique and improved designs.

I usually use WordPress as main CMS and CSS/HTML as principal languages, but I try to keep myself updated with the latest industry changes: jQuery, CSS3, HTML5, etc.
